SCRIPTURE:
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
(Joel 2:25–26)
DEVOTIONAL:
The vengeance of the Lord is not about trusting or relying on an earthly Babylonian court for justice but to trust only in Almighty God and the Supreme Court of the universe. In the book of Psalms, it is written, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge” (Psalm 75:6–7). The New Living Translation says this, “It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.”
In some way or another, the devil has harassed and stolen from many of God’s people, everything from health and long life to marriages and millionaire status. Well, that time is over. God is now saying, “I’m going to restore to you the years”…there is an anointing for restoration. The days of your struggling are over! You are not going to have to struggle for anything else.
As a matter of fact, anything from now on that is making you uncomfortable, God is going to remove it. And whatever has been interfering with your destiny, resisting God’s plan for your life or holding you back, I command it to let you go!
Whatever will not let God’s plan come to pass in your life is now being removed. Things that are against your peace, your promotion, your progress and prosperity…God will command vengeance to operate on your behalf.
PRAYER:
Dear God, I thank You for Your vengeance operating in my behalf to bring peace, promotion, progress and prosperity. I will no longer depend on man or human solutions, but I receive Your restoration in my life concerning (names of people or situations needing to be restored). In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
